DIXIES DIARY: Welcome to DIXIE'S DIARY

HI EVERYONE
I started actually started Dixie's Diary about 5-6 years ago now and even know my Dixie girl is no longer with me , I know it would not be right if I did not continue with this from where her and I left off.

Although I never completely stopped writing reviews, the amount varied a lot over the past 6 years and my blog got completely put on the back burner. At one point I was even in the top 10,000 on Amazon but, even that eventually was just not an option

My little man who is 8 now has really come so far, but that is because of all the work the schools, specialists, and I have done with him. We even moved to a better school district so he could have all the resources he needs it costs literally twice as much just to live in about 15 miles away but a different zip code means a different life, yes this is one of the most messed up things I can think of but, instead of getting angry I honestly count my blessing I am able to give my son what so many moms are not able to.
In his old school I was told he wouldn't ever be in a regular classroom, it would be years till he could right his name etc.. That was a little over 2 years, not only is he in a that "main stream" kindergarten classroom ( w/an aide) he is writing words. He is saying 3-4 words together and uses an asst. technology device to talk to his friends. Yes he has friends and is thriving now.

Now that he is doing so well I have been slowly getting back into what I love. I think its time I start Dixie's Diary back and see how far it can go. I would love suggestions, advice, basically any contact that is with grown ups would be wonderful.

While I might do it with a unique sense of humor I will be sharing my day to day struggles raising a "special needs" child while having health issues of my own, as well as many other issues that some moms can relate to and other issues ALL moms can. I hope you will join me as I try this again, at the very lease you will get a good laugh,

I also use to have a great job, a decent body, & could shower daily. Well if I could still say any of that I might not have to have a blog, most " mom bloggers" won't admit it but, we blog because we have to " vent" somehow. We need some kind of contact with people not Mickey mouse & paw patrol. Of course I originally started blogging as a way to reach out & help other women like myself. I had a very hard time when I had to stop working, I worked my butt off since I was like 13, I never needed ( or wanted ) to depend on anyone else.After being on my own basically my whole life I now had to depend on my hubby. While I was waiting for my SSI case to be decided I learned I was 1 of the lucky ones, most women (& men) who can't work don't have someone AKA additional income. It usually takes a few years to receive Disability if at all. This blog was originally a way for me to share resources & reach out to others so didn't feel as useless & depressed as I did.

Overtime it has evolved into a little bit if everything, reviews of beauty & other products, sharing resources & other useful stuff, but mainly it the everyday life being of a stuck ,I mean stay at home mom who is exhausted, a wife who couldn't get attention from her husband if she stood naked in front of the TV. I should give him a little credit eventually he would go to change the channel & realize I was the blocking the remote. The life of someone who use to be able to drop $2-$300 on make up without thinking about it but now, wishes the dollar store had sales & has made an art out if bargain shopping.

I think that about sums it up ,oh yeah, the babies. I totally forgot to tell you about one if the important parts of my life. My other kids. I told you about my Dixie May girl however I did not tell you about the rest of them .. I love animals,I 100%believe that they deserve to be treated just as well as we treat children especially in the legal system. I cannot stand to see an animal suffer & have tried very hard to help as many as possible. This has led to what I call my " flock" . There are 11 of them total at the moment. Two of them sleep with my son & I Trixie the pup & Odie- bun the bunnydog. I know this is long enough already so I will get more into all of them in another post, all my babies are rescues though & each one has a story & is special!

Now that is it really this time. I hope you were able to get an idea of everything & will follow along.
